Software Testing - S.M.a.R.T.
S.M.a.R.T. stands for Structured Managed and Realistic Testing. TCL has taken a generic project and applied some of the core concepts from Prince 2, to establish a unique framework in which to work. This has then been refined through real life scenarios to ensure that the framework is optimised and delivery focused.
- Risk-Based testing

Defined within each individual Product Description, which can be used by the author, reviewers and customers as an objective measure of completeness. Each of the product descriptions has associated metrics to aid in planning and at an operations level. Metrics are collected for each final product delivered and accepted by a customer. S.M.a.R.T. is used by TCL to set up its test effort. It is also used by the company to prepare bids and tenders and to measure delivery when conducting a TCL Health Check.
